Drivers Trevor Bayne and Jennifer Jo Cobb were both fined by NASCAR on Wednesday for separate incidents at Dover International Speedway last weekend, while the No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing team of driver Kevin Harvick was given a P1 level penalty for receiving written warnings in two consecutive events.

Bayne, who drives the No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford in the Sprint Cup Series, was fined $20,000 and placed on NASCAR probation for the rest of the year because he walked across the racing surface before he was attended to by the track safety crew after a crash in Sunday’s Fedex 400 benefitting Autism Speaks. Bayne was ruled to be in violation of Sections 12.1, 12.8 b and 10.4.2.1 in the 2015 NASCAR rule book.

Cobb, owner/driver of the No. 10 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, was fined $5,000 and put on NASCAR probation through the end of the year. NASCAR said Cobb was in violation of the same rules as Bayne.
